Menifee Union School District accepts $5,000 donation from Newport Pacific Land

MENIFEE – As part of its commitment to support local schools, Newport Pacific Land Company presented another $5,000 donation to the Menifee Union School District, Jan. 14. It is Newport Pacific Land’s second contribution to the district, following a previous $5,000 contribution in 2018.

Staff and parents were in attendance as the school board accepted the check from Newport Pacific Land’s Senior Vice President Michael Schlesinger during the board meeting at the MUSD. The donation will support the district’s transportation services to bring students to and from Hans Christensen Middle School, as well as its foster youth services and emotional support corners.

“The Menifee Union School District prioritizes student educational needs and these programs are essential to helping our students thrive,” Steve Kennedy, superintendent of Menifee Union School District, said. “We appreciate Newport Pacific Land Company’s support in helping us provide these services and supporting our students and their families.”

“We are proud to be a part of the Menifee community and to support our local schools,” Schlesinger said. “These worthwhile programs will positively benefit the students of Menifee.”

The district offers several programs to assist students and families in need. including free tutoring for foster youth, group home and out-of-home placement youth.
