SAN JACINTO – The Mt. San Jacinto College Outreach Team is hosting weekly video-conference calls with parents and prospective students throughout the summer to help them enroll, discuss student support programs and financial aid and explain what the fall 2020 semester will look like.
The sessions are held at 6 p.m. Thursdays through July 30 via Zoom. However, no session will be held Thursday, July 9. Those interested in signing up for a session can pre-register at https://bit.ly/2Yt3HTh.
The fall 2020 semester at MSJC will look different from usual, with about 80% of classes still online, but 20% returning to campuses. To ensure proper social distancing to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, programs and instructors will be strategic in how they conduct in-person classes and labs.
Many of the college’s courses will be online in real time, meaning they’ll be held virtually on a specific schedule. Some courses will be online anytime, meaning course materials will be available 24/7, however students will still need to check in and meet assignment deadlines as instructed.
