NORCO (CNS) – A 34-year-old man suspected of stealing a motorhome and parking it in Norco, where he fell asleep in it, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of auto theft.

Daniel Jacob Jacquemain of Norco was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside but posted a $30,000 bond and was released a few hours later.

According to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Robert Torres, patrol deputies spotted the 1985 Jamboree motorhome about 3:30 a.m. parked along the curb in the 1600 block of Industrial Avenue, just west of Interstate 15, and ran a license plate check on it.

Torres alleged that the RV was confirmed stolen earlier in the week out of Corona.

Deputies accessed the motorhome and allegedly found Jacquemain and a woman, whose name was not disclosed, asleep inside, according to Torres.

Both were detained for questioning, but Jacquemain was ultimately the only one taken into custody.

The vehicle was returned to its owner.
