What’s better than an ugly sweater party? An Ugly Sweater Beer Crawl hosted by some of Old Town Temecula’s best craft breweries.

“This is a very joyful event,” Kirk D. Medeiros, President of Craft Brewing Company, said. “This will bring business to Old Town Temecula, last year it was a huge success just to see the expressions on everybody’s faces on how good of a time they were having. I hope you will be able to make it down to participate and witness how fun it really is.”

In addition to Craft Brewing Company, Stone Church and Ironfire are participating, as is Crush and Brew. The event will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.

“We hold this event each year because it brings the community together and it’s great way to support local businesses in a fun fashion,” Medeiros said. “These events are important for Craft Brewing Company because we get the chance to interact with our customers and build awareness for us as a local brewery.”

It’s the second annual event and so far, more than 2,300 people have expressed interest via the brewery’s Facebook event page.

“People are talking about it and how excited they are to come with their friends and family,” Medeiros said. “We hope people just have a great time getting into the holiday spirit with friends and family while enjoying some great local beers.”

The event is free to participate in, but obviously, it will cost money to partake in the craft brews available at each location. There will be a raffle and once a participant has their punch card (available at each location) filled, they can bring it back to Craft for a chance to win the raffle with prizes from each of the participating breweries and restaurants.

There will also be an ugly sweater contest.

“We want to see who brought their A game to the crawl this year,” Medeiros said.
