RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Attorneys for Inland Empire pastors challenging Gov. Gavin Newsom's restrictions on in-person church services amid the coronavirus pandemic said Friday, Jan. 15 they are pressing ahead with a request for an emergency injunction against the state to stop enforcement of the restrictions. ``For nearly 10 months, California has forced faithful Americans to choose between obedience to God and obedience to Gavin, by forcing them to forsake religious gatherings,'' Center for American Liberty General Counsel Mark Trammell said. ``We are optimistic that the U.S. Supreme Court will afford Californians the same relief it correctly afforded New Yorkers by enjoining Newsom's unconstitutional and discriminatory executive order.''
