Whether you’re a true wine and food fanatic or you’re just short on time, the annual CRUSH Wine and Culinary Showcase event Saturday, Sept. 28, at Monte De Oro Winery is one-of-a-kind in Temecula Wine Country.

“CRUSH is Temecula Valley Wine Country’s signature event, featuring a walk-about wine tasting and food pairing,” Krista Chaich, executive director of the Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association, which is hosting the event, said. “It is the one and only event that features all winery members of the Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association, all in one location. In addition, the event features culinary creations from over 15 winery and local restaurants and caterers.”

Ticketholders will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with winery owners and winemakers from 38 wineries from Temecula Wine Country.

“They wouldn’t miss it, winemakers, too,” Chaich said.

The event is held outdoors and guests will wander from booth to booth, tasting wines and trying bites of food in every genre and flavor. It should be noted, seating is limited at the event.

Participating restaurants this year include Baba Joon’s Kitchen at Fazeli Cellars, Baily’s Old Town, Bluewater Grill, Cafe Champagne at Thornton Winery, Cork Fire Kitchen at Temecula Creek Inn, Devilicious Eatery, Luna Grill, Mama Rosas Trattoria at Robert Renzoni Winery, Meritage at Callaway Winery, Monte De Oro Bistro at Monte De Oro Winery, Nora’s Empanada Factory, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Pinnacle at Falkner Winery, Sangio’s Deli at Cougar Vineyards and Winery and Vineyard Rose Restaurant at South Coast Winery Resort and Spa.

Live entertainment provided by Season 8 “American Idol” contestant Kai Kalama. This event will be held outdoors, and as a walk-about tasting event, seating is very limited.

“This is a once-a-year opportunity to visit with 38 Temecula Valley wineries and taste culinary creations from a few of the best restaurants and caterers in the Temecula Valley,” Chaich said. “There’s no other event like it.”

The event will be held from 7:30-10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Monte De Oro Winery, 35820 Rancho California Road in Temecula.

General admission tickets are available for $99 and are available at www.temeculawines.org.
