RIVERSIDE – Long, hot summer days have many people longing for cooler temperatures and seasonal vegetables from the garden. Get a head start on growing in the fall and winter by hearing directly from master gardeners on the best time to plant cool season vegetables and what grows well during cooler temperatures.
The University of California held a how-to garden talk with the Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program and the Riverside County Department of Waste Resources, Saturday, Sept. 7, in Moreno Valley.
The Riverside County Department of Waste Resources provides this free class to reduce waste and help preserve valuable space in the county sanitary landfill and reduce the amount of chemical waste residents bring to the Household Hazardous Waste collection program for processing and disposal.
