R & R Auto Group honored as Menifee business spotlight

MENIFEE – As part of its ongoing Business Spotlight Program, Menifee’s Economic Development Department recognized R and R Auto Group for the company’s contributions to the community. The company, which is owned and operated by brothers Jon and Ben Ranes, began in 2009.

In the 17 years the Ranes brothers have been in business in Menifee, they have become heavily involved in youth and community programs, such as Boy Scouts, while coaching youth basketball and helping to prepare young men to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Menifee. The company has donated to local booster clubs and sports programs and even donated a car to a struggling medical student at their grand opening. In the upcoming year, they plan to hold a monthly car giveaway with hopes of giving 12 cars, all free of charge to families in need.

“R and R Auto Group is a shining example of how to succeed in business while helping to lift your community,” Gina Gonzalez said. “Our Business Spotlight Program is an opportunity to not only show some of the businesses that are great economic drivers in our community, but to show appreciation for business leaders like Jon and Ben who go above and beyond to help the community.”

Menifee’s Business Spotlight program is a free business recognition program designed to create awareness about the variety of local businesses and their contributions to the Menifee community and region. Featured businesses are recognized at a city council meeting and highlighted on www.MenifeeBusiness.com. Additionally, businesses are awarded a 30-second professional video production created by the Department of Economic Development that will be showcased on the city’s website, social media platforms, and given to the business with rights to use as needed to promote their business.
