RIVERSIDE (CNS) – The brief gift of sunshine between showers in the Southland is expected to come to an end tomorrow evening, when rain clouds once again will visit parts of the region, forecasters said.
According to the National Weather Service, scattered showers are in store for western Riverside County on Sunday night into Monday afternoon. Another low pressure system from the north will bring a slight chance of rain on Tuesday, with stronger chances of showers Wednesday through Thursday.
Dry, warm weather will return by Friday.
The Sunday to Monday showers are expected to drop half an inch to an inch of rain in the western county, according to the NWS. Desert areas are unlikely to see much rain.
Snow levels will fall to 5,000 to 5,500 feet Monday morning, but will remain high during the bulk of the precipitation, forecasters said.
