HEMET – Shannon Moore, wellness director of Desert Hills Memory Care Center, a memory care community located at 25818 Columbia Street in Hemet, has been awarded as “Outstanding Department Director” by the California Assisted Living Association, Nov. 6, at their Fall Conference and Trade Show in Palm Springs.

Moore was rewarded this title based on her commitment to providing outstanding, quality care and service to residents. In her role, Moore hires, supervises and manages those on her team. She also has an impact on residents and families, forming bonds, going over service plans and charts and helping plan for the end of life. She also serves as a mentor for other employees within the Cascade Living Group as well as those within her community. In fact, in her spare time, she volunteers for the United Peace Officers Against Crime, aiding those who are in foster care, like she once was.

According to executive director Chantelle Hudson, “Shannon is a fixture for all the associates in the community. She is someone they can confide in. She works hands-on with the associates to teach them and help them grow.”
