Firefighters quickly stopped the forward spread of a wildfire near the Wildomar-Menifee border Saturday evening.
The blaze was reported just before 8:20 p.m. near Felswood Road and Sunset Avenue, south of Bundy Canyon Road, according to information from the Riverside County Fire Department.
The fire was initially reported to be burning in “light, flashy fuels,” covering about two acres.
Riverside County fire officials said on Twitter around 8:40 p.m. that the blaze had been stopped from spreading. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
