The fun and excitement of the SoCal Battle of the Badges, which is one of the area’s premier boxing and muay Thai events, returned to Soboba Casino Resort Friday, Oct. 11. The SoCal Battle of the Badges is a public safety boxing event that unites peace officers, firefighters and military personnel in a competitive sportsmanship boxing competition.

Each event is filled with heart-pounding excitement that energizes the crowd and keeps spectators coming back, organizers said. The event builds camaraderie, solidarity among the diverse agencies, organizations and departments. The Battle of the Badges contributes financial support to several nonprofit organizations in need of assistance. This year local resident, Christopher Lizarraga, who is also a member of the Temecula Boxing Training Academy, won his match in the 165-pound weight class.

With over 20 years of experience, the SoCal Battle of the Badges team provides insight and guidance to the organization to help reach its goals. The members of their teams rely on their skills and expertise from their combined years of business, marketing, corporate and boxing experience to provide the community with a boxing event that showcases public safety officers who serve and protect.
