SRCAR Scholarship Foundation awards 28 scholarships to local high school seniors

TEMECULA – For over 30 years, Southwest Riverside County Association of Realtors has been awarding scholarships to qualifying and deserving local high school seniors. On any given year, up to 30 scholarships are presented to students in southwest Riverside County who are continuing their education.

This year, they presented awards in the amount of $1,000 each students who will begin school in the fall, including Alan Del Villar at California Baptist University, Anthony Nichols at Palomar College, Brianna Bormann at Palomar College, Cheyenne Wierzbieki at California Lutheran University, Dakota Meza at Mt. St. Jacinto College, Dana Fellhauer at University of California Riverside, Dayna Hamilton at Arizona State University, Eliza Carranza at University of California Riverside, Emily Gerdes at Northern Arizona University, Emma Smith at California State University Fullerton, Jacob Kaukani at University of California Riverside, Jared Dittamo at University of California San Diego, Jonathan Borin at Oregon State University, Karys Hoekstra at Santa Barbara City College, Katelyn McGowan at California State University San Marcos, Katelyn Timmons at University of California Los Angeles, Lauren Taylor at Providence Christian College, Malia Vilches at Arizona State University, Mara Swartz at Northern Arizona University, Massimo Lorenzetti at Bentley University, Mayson McIntire at Dixie State University, Mylee Howe at Arizona State University, Owen Laidlaw at Mt. St. Jacinto College, Paige Siegel at California State University Monterey Bay, Rajah Venable at University of the Pacific, Seanna Giapapas at Santa Barbara City College, Serena Arango at Palomar College and Sydney Moran at Westmont College.

All 28 students and their families were invited to attend the marketing meeting at SRCAR Tuesday, July 30, and be acknowledged by the membership.

Many fundraisers take place annually in order to raise dollars for the SRCAR Scholarship Foundation. Some of these events include bowling, Bingo, Texas Hold’em and the Chili Cook Off for Charity.
