Menifee – The city of Menifee said they are focused on making business interactions with the city as convenient and efficient as possible. The city’s new ‘Streamline Menifee’ initiative encompasses everything from the creation of a one stop shop, which brings together all development departments on one floor, to utilizing the latest technology, making it easier to set appointments and check the status of applications online.
“We want to be a partner in the development process,” City Manager Armando Villa said. “We’re showing our commitment to this partnership with the development community by streamlining our processes to make it more convenient and efficient to get a project from start to finish in Menifee.”
In addition to the one stop shop setting, Menifee has also employed the use of a virtual concierge customer system that allows customers to check current wait times and even set and check-in for appointments conveniently from their mobile device. The city’s mobile app also allows residents to get updates on the latest news and events in the city and even report street light outages, potholes and graffiti right from their phone.
Updating the city’s development code was another priority of the “Streamline Menifee” initiative. By clearly defining the framework, rules and regulations guiding project development in the city, Menifee has simplified and removed uncertainty from the development process. Additionally, the city’s new flat fee structure was introduced so that partners can gain certainty with both project budgeting and processing times though a three-plan check process. The introduction of the rapid response team brings together a group of development staff specialists to guide the city’s development process by continually examining it and finding ways to enhance its efficiency.
