Last year Hemet Unified School District implemented new positions at their schools to ensure student safety.

“The district transitioned from a supervision model to a security model and added several physical security improvements to provide a better learning environment for students and staff. In an effort to transition the district to a security model, the security staff was trained for various situations they may encounter and the new campus security officer I and II positions,” according to the district website.

Hamilton High School was able to acquire a security officer, Miss Vickey. Miss Vickey has been doing security for 20 years and chose this job to “help us on our paths to becoming adults and graduating and moving on with our lives,” she said.
