A body found near I-15 in Temecula Monday, April 8 was that of a 75-year-old man who was reported missing Saturday, April 6.
The body of Jorge Orlando Murillo of Murrieta was found on the shoulder of northbound Interstate 15, 0.66 miles from the Winchester Road overpass just before 6 a.m., according to a news release issued by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
Police issued a Silver Alert for Murillo on Saturday, April 6, and according to that alert, he was last seen at 8:30 a.m. Friday and was believed to be traveling on foot. He was last seen wearing a blue checkered shirt, a dark jacket and jeans.
The coroner will determine Murillo’s cause and day of death.
Foul play is not suspected.
