Socks for Sox campaign launches at Riverside County animal shelters

Riverside County Department of Animal Services RIVERSIDE COUNTY – Riverside County Animal Services is lowering all cat adoptions to $20 during a special promotion called Socks for Sox. The Socks for Sox campaign is a partnership between Animal Services and other county agencies that work directly with the homeless. Anyone who brings in a pack of socks can adopt a cat for just $20. All donated socks will be provided to those that are currently homeless. "We chose Socks for Sox, since Sox has been such a popular name for cats," said Jackie Schart, who oversees adoptions at the Western Riverside County/City Animal Shelter in Jurupa Valley.
