Wind advisory in place for Inland Empire through noon Wednesday

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Windy conditions were expected to prevail on Wednesday in the Riverside County valleys and Inland Empire, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a wind advisory for those areas until noon.The forecast called for northeast winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts to 55 — with the strongest winds after sunrise, subsiding in the afternoon.While an advisory was not in effect for the mountains, it was expected to be windy in those areas, too. The weather service said to expect north winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts to 40, becoming 30 in the afternoon.
