The Temecula Dollars for Scholars organization recently announced that their fourth annual golf tournament will be taking place at Journey at Pechanga Saturday, Feb. 22. The tournament will feature breakfast, lunch, dinner, awards and raffle prizes. The nonprofit scholarship organization’s Golf and Give Back tournament is making a name for itself in the area as it grows each year and continues to raise scholarship money for local high school students.
The cost of the tournament will be $199 per player, and those interested can register online at www.tdfsgolf.com/tickets. There will be a hole-in-one car giveaway, contests, awards, dinner at Journey’s End, raffle prizes and more.
“I’ve played in this tournament since the beginning and it’s a great event for a great cause,” retired Cal Fire Capt. Brian Riggs of Temecula said. “The course, the food, the raffle… it’s all top-notch.”
Temecula Dollars for Scholars is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that awards college scholarships to Temecula Valley students. Temecula Dollars for Scholars was created in 1987 by a small group of Temecula Valley High School teachers and parents who wanted to raise funds to assist graduating seniors. Since then, Temecula Dollars for Scholars has donated more than $3 million in community scholarships to TVUSD graduates. These awards are made possible through the generosity of local businesses, civic and charitable organizations, school PTA foundations and individuals.
