TEMECULA — The Temecula Valley Museum adapts popular monthly Cultural Celebration events to the online format: Second Saturday At Home in the month of May 2020, due to the current global pandemic.
Usually held in the museum celebrating a world culture with food, crafts, activities, and entertainment, the museum travels virtually to this captivating island. Guests are invited to enjoy food virtually through a recipe for Cuban Shortbread Cookies posted online and encouraged to tour Cuba through links, sound effects, and educational facts. There is a special, free, watercolor art lesson available on YouTube presented by Bigfoot Art Classes. To take part in this special online event, guests can visit TemeculaValleyMuseum.org, and click on the Second Saturday page.
Second Saturdays are part of the Temecula Valley Museum’s educational and cultural offerings for the community, celebrating the history and heritage of the various and diverse cultures that live in the Temecula Valley. The goal of this program is to embrace diversity and celebrate contemporary life in Temecula.
