The Temecula Rugby Club, a nonprofit community organization, is hosting their annual golf tournament Sunday, Nov. 10, at Redhawk Golf Course in Temecula. The annual event is the organization’s major fundraiser for the year. Proceeds from the event will enable the Temecula Rugby Club to sustain its ongoing mission of promoting, managing and teaching the game of rugby to men, women and youth of all ages in the Inland Valley.
A portion of the proceeds will also go toward a charity assisting veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and suicide awareness. Check-in begins at 11:45 a.m. The cost is $99 per participant and includes: cart and green fees, a boxed lunch and awards. The event will feature a four-person scramble format in addition to a “Closest to the Pin,” Long Drive and Hole-in-One contest with a chance to win $3,500 and various raffle prizes.
“The golf tournament is always a great event. Each year we have good people get together and have fun to raise money not only for our club, which is a great organization, but also for a charitable cause,” event organizer Adam Barker said. “This year we are playing at the spectacular Redhawk Golf Course and we’ve partnered up with Elite Golf Events and Krank to add to the fun. We’d love to see some new faces and encourage anyone who is interested to come out and join us.”
