TEMECULA – The Temecula Sunrise Rotary Club will welcome Emily Falappino, president and CEO of Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce, as its featured speaker Tuesday, Feb. 4. The club meets every Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. Journey’s End at Pechanga, the golf course restaurant.
Falappino said she would arrive at 7 a.m. to be available to any members who would like to meet and talk with her. Guests are welcome.
The Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce announced in October 2019 that Falappino would succeed Alice Sullivan as president and CEO after Sullivan retired from the TVCC. Falappino was selected after a search that began in Temecula’s own backyard then eventually spanned to include an outreach that would become nationwide.
“Emily Falappino is going to be that person who will not only build on what Alice Sullivan so masterfully executed, but we believe that she will take the chamber to whole new heights,” Brian Connors, TVCC chairman of the board, said. “Our selection committee was thoroughly impressed, and our board of directors voted unanimously to hire Emily. Her impeccable standards, professionalism and integrity were unmatched. Besides, she is homegrown right here in Temecula. Her understanding of our local economy, her existing commitment to our Valley, and her connections with the City and Tourism community became important factors in our decision process.”
With contributions stemming from Temecula’s Economic Development Department to Visit Temecula Valley, Falappino has made a career of invoking the highest quality in service and productivity. Her professional accolades include Star of the Valley Award recipient as the Most Driven Professional and TVCC’s Young Professional of the Year Award.
Falappino has been with Stryder Transportation and Grapeline Inc. since 2006 and has held the position of general manager since 2012.
She is a graduate of Temecula Valley High School and is a graduate of the University of Phoenix. She holds a Master of Business Administration from California State University San Bernardino, summa cum laude.
