RIVERSIDE (CNS) – Temperatures will warm up Monday, Sept. 14 throughout Riverside County and are expected to continue rising in most areas through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
High pressure will build over Southern California through Wednesday, then be replaced by an upper-level low pressure system moving through Central California, forecasters said.
High temperatures today could reach 104 degrees in the Coachella Valley, 97 in the San Gorgonio Pass near Banning, 98 in Riverside, 96 in Lake Elsinore, 93 in Temecula, 98 in Hemet and 82 in Idyllwild.
Highs in the Coachella Valley are expected to climb to 107 on Tuesday, then 108 on Wednesday, according to the NWS. The mercury in the Riverside metropolitan area is forecast to top out at 101 on Tuesday and Wednesday.
