RANCHO PALOS VERDES (CNS) - Famed golfer Tiger Woods suffered major leg injuries today when the vehicle he was driving rolled off a winding road in the Rancho Palos Verdes area. The crash was reported at 7:12 a.m. on Hawthorne Boulevard at Blackhorse Road, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. "The vehicle sustained major damage,'' according to a sheriff's department statement. "The driver and sole occupant was identified as PGA golfer, Eldrick `Tiger' Woods. Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the 'jaws of life' by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.''
