TVUSD to apply for waiver from state, county to restart elementary classes part-time

District may not immediately restart classes even if its application is approved

The Temecula Valley Unified School District is planning to move forward with an application to restart elementary school classes in-person, though district administrators were leaving open-ended the question of when classes may actually restart. TVUSD’s board on Nov. 10 gave the go-ahead to Superintendent Jodi McClay to move forward with applying for a waiver, which would need to be submitted to both the Riverside County Department of Public Health and the state of California Department of Public Health.
