Valley locals swept the top four positions in the AMA Supercross 250SX class main event Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Murrieta’s Colt Nichols won his third consecutive race and had a time of 15 minutes 45.534 seconds for the 19-lap feature. Nichols’ Monster Energy/Star Racing Yamaha teammate, Temecula’s Christian Craig, took second place and was 5.798 seconds behind Nichols. Michael Mosiman, who stays in Menifee when he is practicing with the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull GasGas team based in Murrieta, finished third and was 10.646 seconds in back of Nichols. The only other rider who finished on the lead lap, Menifee’s Jo Shimoda, trailed Nichols by 40.771 seconds. Lucas Oil Stadium was also the site of the Jan. 30 AMA Supercross race. In the first qualif
