Vehicle hits, topples power pole near Lake Elsinore

LAKE ELSINORE (CNS) - A vehicle struck and toppled a power pole near Lake Elsinore Monday, Dec. 28, but no injuries were reported. The crash was reported about 9:20 a.m. in the area of Hostettler Road and Desperado Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol. The power pole ``snapped in half,'' sending pieces into the roadway, the CHP reported. A stretch of Hostettler Road was shuttered while Southern California Edison crews worked to fix the damaged equipment.
