Visit Temecula Valley announces new 2020 board of directors


TEMECULA – Visit Temecula Valley, the Southern California region’s official destination tourism marketing organization – and the catalyst for $1.1 billion, direct, local visitor spending annually – has announced its 2020 executive officers and directors. The 17-member Visit Temecula Valley board is composed of local tourism industry professionals who serve on a voluntary basis.

“Our executive officers and board members are a group of very impressive tourism business leaders that are focused on making Temecula Valley a premier destination in Southern California. We are pleased with the new additions and anticipate their level of dedication and passion will match those previously and currently serving on the board,” Scott Wilson, chairman of the board, said.

The newly elected positions of the executive officers are first vice chairman of the board Victor Morgenroth of Embassy Suites, first vice chairman of the tourism improvement district Michael Feeley of Temecula Creek Inn and second vice chairman of the board Cherise Manning of A Grape Escape Balloon Adventure. They will join continuing executive officers: chairman of the board Scott Wilson of Pechanga Resort Casino, treasurer Bill Wilson of Wilson Creek Winery and secretary Spencer Szczygiel of Temecula Valley Winery Management.

Newly appointed board members are Andy Doty of Old Town Blues Club and Curt Kucera of Refuge Brewery. BJ Fazeli of Fazeli Cellars is a newly elected board member. Reelected board members are Ken Smith of Galway Downs and Jan Smith of Inland Management Group. Continuing their role as board members are Jeffrey Kurtz of Promenade Temecula, Karl Kruger of South Coast Winery Resort & Spa, Melody Brunsting of Melody’s Ad Works, Pamela Bradley of Springhill Suites by Marriott, Ken Westmyer of Quality Inn and John Kelliher of Grapeline Wine Tours.

Visit Temecula Valley, a nonprofit organization in its 16th year of operation, increases awareness of Temecula Valley, stimulates economic growth and tourism, and measures visitor spending. The Temecula Valley Tourism Business Improvement District, Pechanga Development Corporation, the city of Temecula and the Temecula Valley Wine Country Tourism Marketing District provide funding for strategic VTV marketing efforts. Under founding President and CEO Kimberly Adams, a professional Visit Temecula Valley staff of 12 carries out VTV leadership-approved programs and policies.
