WILDOMAR – Following the Executive Order issued last night by Governor Gavin Newsom,
today the city’s “Wildomar Disaster Council,” consisting of the Mayor and senior management recommended that City Hall and the Cemetery offices will close to the public starting Monday, March 23.
The city will continue to perform services relied upon by residents and visitors by way of
appointments, email, and other electronic means. Community members are urged to visit the city department websites or call for assistance on how to complete requests online, over the phone or through the mail.
“The city really wanted to stay accessible to the public as long as possible and with last night’s order from Sacramento, closing city hall doors to the public could help to put an early end to this virus outbreak.” Mayor Dustin Nigg said.
City staff will be at the city hall maintaining social distance from the other employees and where possible some employees may telecommute to provide the needed services.
The city’s parks will continue to be open to the public.
