Story Last Updated : Jul 27th.

A man was arrested this morning for the slaying of his wife in Murrieta last month.

Kelle Jarka, 39, is facing felony charges for the murder of his wife, Isabelle Jarka, 40, according to Riverside County Court documents.

The woman was beat on the face and head before death, according to a Riverside County Coroner's report. Her arms showed wounds inflicted while defending herself.

April 28 at 8:45 a.m. police got a 911 call from the victim's husband, according to Lt. Dennis Vrooman, the Murrieta Police Department's spokesperson.

When police arrived at 8:50 a.m. Advertisement

they found Isabelle Jarka unconscious in the home's master bedroom.

She was declared dead at 9:08, after an attempt to resuscitate her.

Kelle Jarka claimed he was out on a short shopping errand when the attack took place. When he pulled into the garage he noticed the door appeared forced open. Upon entering to house he found it ransacked, he told police officials.

The couple's two children – one twelve years old and the other six months old – had stayed at Isabelle Jarka's parent's home overnight and were still there at the time of the attack. The victim's parents live directly across the street.

1. Saw it comming says :

Still sad! For the children's sake I was hoping that it wasn't him. However I'm glad to see the police didn't rush to arrest him and made sure they had all their ducks in a row in order to make sure he will have to pay dearly for what he did! I will continue to pray I'm sure along with many others for the children and family. Personally I know when we leave it in the hands of Jehovah he always helps us get through one day at a time.

2. KK says :

Oh, I was hoping this wasn't going to be. So sad for the family and for the two little ones left behind. :-(

3. hope it doesn't happen to you says :

What happened to assumption of innocence? I don't care if he did or didn't but does everyone realize that only one version of the story (the police's) is out there. Information is presented to the public very deliberately so as to maintain a semblance of safety. What if the husband is innocent? Should those of us with life insurance policies on our spouses or ourselves cancel them...just in case they/we die? Does having insurance mandate guilt?

Regardless, I'm sure this will keep all the neighbors from calling and asking the police about safety in their neighborhood. If he did it...fine, but what if he didn't? What happened to the "several" suspects the police said they were investigating. What about the other robberies in the area? Did Mr. Jarka do those also?

People that assume this is a slam dunk should stop watching Law and Order and spend some time in a real courtroom. Be careful of forming opinions fed to you by the police and media. It is often one sided and could really come back to bite you later.

The court is where guilt is determined, not in chatrooms.

4. Huh? says :

None of those stories say anything about insurance policies. Nor do they talk about suspects or robberies. Also, there is no such thing as assumption of innocence. I also did not read anything in these stories that might constitute an opinion by the media. No one said he was guilty, just that he had been arrested. If anyone is giving bad info it is "hope" and that post.

5. To Hope it doesn't happen to you says :

I can see you are someone who really want's so bad to believe it just not possible for a freind to do something so SICK!! Why don't you stop being the defense attorney and maybe spend your time praying for the children left without parents.

6. Russ says :

"hope it doesn't happen to you" - The presumption of innocence is a legal requirement, but doesn't pass down to the rest of us. For instance, if someone you know is arrested for sex with a minor, will you leave your children alone with him/her because you are supposed to presume they are innocent? NO!

As private citizens, we don't have to presume innocence - we can believe whatever we want. If I have a bad feeling about someone, that's enough for me. I don't need to wait until I have evidence.

7. Naive or Ignorant says :

Stop with the denial. It was bad enough when it was done prior to the arrest. It was to obvious it was him. Wake up!! Not everyone is who they seem. Those poor kids, my heart goes out to them and her family. Our prayers are with you.

8. !!! says :

The police always have more evidence then there reporting to the public, and for good reason. If they told the public every little thing...the case could be messed up. In time everything will come out but not till the case is closed. For now we do see it took them weeks to "MAKE SURE" that yes he is guilty of a hanic crime.

Now we need to focus on sympothy for the children.

9. to: what if it happens to you.. says :

The court is where guilt is determined, not in chatrooms.....

Why are you on here then! Don't be a hypocrite.

10. murrieta resident says :

I know this family and I really feel for the kids. This is so sad. If he is proven guilty this will be a horrible story on many levels.

11. mom of two says :

We know things like this happen but to personal know the people involved it makes me sick. It makes it real to me that we are living in a time no matter who you are you can be touched by wickedness. I will look at everyone differently now.

12. realistic says :

Can anyone say crime of passion? 11 blows ? Come on!!! My real prayers go out to the children and their murdered mother. We see thismany times. People having a good citizen image w/ inner deamons inside. Its a terrible situation.

13. murrieta resident says :

realistic, yes...they seemed like the perfect family. People didn't want to believe he could do such a thing and now many of them are starting to really think. This is devastating to those who know them and to the family.

14. sister says :

Thank u to the Murrieta investigative team for endless hours of hard work, diligence and utmost professionalism. Thank you to the Tamarisk neighborhood for well wishes and prayers. Thank you to all of Isabelle's friends and friends to the family. We miss Isabelle deeply. Our lives are forever changed. She was taken away much too soon. Her children miss her deeply. I continue to say in my darkest hours Isabelle i think fondly of our childhood memories, your children are in good hands. We will be your voice. Justice will prevail. We will never give up. In my darkest hours when I cannot sleep, when i cry endlessly in the darkness you are the light at the tip of my candle. I love you now and forever sis..

15. concerned friend says :

I am heartbroken that it appears Kelle could kill sweet Isabelle?? That defies logic to me. He adored her so when they got married. How could he do this to the two babies. Fortunately, she has a wonderful family that continue to show Isabelle's love and affection until they see her again.......Take care of them.

16. Devoted reader says :

Honestly I have been checking out these comments since the murder. There are a few comments that made me go MMMMmmm..why is that person trying to throw people off of the husband. One person even mentioned that they had done research on the Internet and discovered that there had been a series of break-ins at the same time in the same area. The funny thing is I do a lot of research on the Internet every day and there is no site that I know of in this area that would have that type of information. The police don't keep those stats on the web and the newspapers don't keep that info in a cohesive way to see multiple listings.

17. Someone says :

For the sake of everyone involved I hope it's not the husband...however, I don't think Murrieta Police is stupid enough to arrest someone on little evidence...they have more than just "baby formula"

18. sick to my stomach says :

I am literally sick from hearing this news. I log on everyday to follow this story becaus it is so unfathomable to me. How could your own spouse do such a horrific thing? Though we may hear of this type of violence often now, we never get use to it. Truly we can see the prophecy of living in the last days coming true. I cannot wait for this earth to become a paradise as it was meant to be from the begining. Isabelle is sleeping until her awakening to a prfect new system of things....

19. Rick says :

This man is a Jehovah witness elder

20. "Devoted reader" says :

I am the one who made the comment about the other break-ins. I am just an ordinary citizen and doubt my comments could "throw people off the husband". I am just using common sense and believe that one should have ALL the evidence before coming to a conclusion about one's guilt or innocence. Go to murrieta.org. Click on....city services....police department....there you will find "Murrieta Police Department Press Releases". Sorry, but they do keep stats on the internet including the type of crime, the address, date and YES the time.

22. To Rick says :

You are mistaken.

23. To Rick says :

I don't understand your comment about "This man is a Jehovah's Witness Elder". What does that have to do with his brutal crime? Try doing some research and you'll see that overall, less crime is committed by Jehovah's Witnesses, because if you truly apply Bible principles, you become a peaceable person. Lets not forget that Jehovah's Witness look forward to perfection in the New System of things, they don't claim to be perfect. But also, who betrayed Jesus Christ, was it not one of his own. It's obvious that Judas Iscariot wasn't always bad, or he wouldn't have been selected. But somewhere down the line, he lost his focus and allowed greed, and Love of money to overpower him. The end result is that, once he realized what he had done (betray the Son of Man), it was too late, so he took his own life. In this case, Kelle not only betrayed his wife and kids, family and friends, but also, his God Jehovah, and for that he will pay dearly.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends affected by this senseless crime.
P.S
A Special Thanks to All those involved in putting the Kelle(r) where he belongs!!!!!

24. To Rick says :

How do you know he is an elder? if that is true, i feel very sad for those people in his congregation who look up to him. they will probably blindly support him until the very end.

25. Just another neighbor says :

Dont be surprised that there are BAD people out there. You can never really know how other people live and act behind closed doors. I hate to say it but I rather it be the husband than to accept the alternative of some maniac running our steets killing people.
I am so sorry for the family, I can't imagine the pain that they are enduring.

26. Rick says :

There's one who saw it all and "no one" can hide from him.

27. Mike says :

As soon as I read this story weeks ago , when it broke,.. I knew it was just a matter of time till the police arrested the husband! Come on don't let your animosity towards police, cloud your common sense??? What the hell was that story,anyway...? " I left the house for 45 minutes on a Monday morning to get coffee, came home and someone killed my wife"???? PLEASE!!

28. Marie says :

You should all be ashamed of yourselves for PREACHING on this thread. This is a LEGAL matter & by all of you talking about religion & God really makes your faith look bad. This is not an issue of their faith, so don't try to make the media WANT to make this an issue about the Jarka's professed faith. Obviously anyone who commits murder is NOT religious, regardless of what they CLAIM is there faith. Just because someone claims a faith doesn't make it IMPOSSIBLE for someone to commit a gross crime! The media has said very little about their religion & here most of you are speaking about God & religion. SHAME ON YOU! Here you all are making their faith a main topic in the neighborhood when people of other religions commit these crimes all around the world! Let the police & prosecutors do their jobs & stop with all your nonsense. It sounds like your trying to count time on the internet. But really it's such a turn off to your beleifs! This is not the place to speak about these type of things. The fact is that the authorities had enough evidence to think that Mr. Jarka is the most suspect in this crime. He will be tried in the court of law. If found guilty without reasonable doubt then he will pay with time or possibly his life. The poor children are the ones who will suffer the most. The judge or jury will not look at their religious beleifs to find him guilty or not guilty. So leave religion out of it. You are going to make the media turn this into something it is not!

29. Steve says :

Jehovahs' Witness, Catholic, Christian,...It really doesn't matter how good you try to live your life in Gods eyes? My guess is that like many married men, He finally snapped after enduring years of nagging?? Sorry to sound so blunt , but, I know a lot of you men out there are thinking the same thing?? Hey, It Happens!!!

30. To: Marie says :

Very well said.

31. To Steve says :

Wow! I hope your not married......

32. OLIMIRA says :

I DID NOT KNOW THIS FAMILY BUT I DO LIVE IN THE AREA. WHAT A TERRIBLE CRIME. THERE WAS NOT ONE VICTIM BUT A NUMBER OF THEM AS YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER THE CHILDREN AND ISABELLE'S PARENT5, SIBLINGS. GOD IS JUST AND MERCIFUL. PRAY FOR ISABELLE AND THE CHILDREN.

33. sister (blood sister) says :

Thank you to Rick and To Rick.. Justice will prevail..... I miss u Sis.....

34. FINALLY MARIA says :

Love what Maria said...leave the preaching for your door knocking and let us decide if we want to listen

36. Friendfromthepast says :

A number of sources point out that becoming absorbed in materialistic pursuits can make people sick—mentally, emotionally, and even physically. Financial troubles are considered to be the major causes of despair and extreme stress that make people do crazy things. As a society we have given extreme importance to where we live, drive and wear, that it defines us. The media constantly advertises to attract all age groups and spends billions in advertising dollars because they know that viewers are influenced by what they see and hear. What society says is the "American Dream" is so far from the truth. Historically, the dream consisted of working hard, perseverance, self reliance, self discipline and living within your means. The "Dream" has become more of an entitlement than something to work towards. Many Americans no longer think about a vision for the future that includes time, sweat, and ultimate success. Instead, they want the shortcut to wealth, such as Life insurance money by maybe killing their spouse or loved ones, homeowners insurance by burning their houses down to cash in, rather than foreclose. A wise man once said "money is the root of all evil", and statistically, we know that these words are true. I'm sure we all hope that justice prevails. We all wish that the 12 year old little girl receives all the support possible from counselors, therapists, psychiatrist's, friends and family, and for all to have the wisdom and the right words to help her through this critical time. As for the little boy, we all wish for him to grow up with the same support and for him to know that his moms world were her children. I can only imagine what the family is going through, the word "pain" can't even describe it. Draw strength from her loving memory and stay strong in what you believe in.

Jehovah's Witnesses are commiting murders left and right now, what is wrong with this church?
Scary like Jonestown

38. To mother of 4 says :

Could you please tell me where the murders are taking place, I believe this is stretching the truth a bit. Jehovah's Witnesses are imperfect people and they make mistakes, but this is not a habit.

Google Jehovah's witnesses Murder and child Molestation.
You may be surprised.
The fact in the last year in this small community we have seen a child molestation case and now a murder case involving a JW. It's making me open my eyes and not my door.

man hides behind many things to not be found
facades of religion
long driveways
uniforms
political parties
this was one person killed
think of all the people in the last 10 years who have been killed in the NAME of religion by us and them
at one time the population in germany was reduced by millions (13 to 7?) when Catholics fought the "reformists" for control of the world
Is it really money that is the root of all evil?
I think it is FORCE
Learn to leave people along if they don't want to do what you want them to or believe what you believe
THAT is actual FREEDOM and not just for yourself
