Fallbrook Halloween Bash to benefit Valley News nonprofit

Maryann Mahaffey Collings from Fallbrook Active Nutrition and friends gather around while enjoying the food and dancing at the 2024 Halloween Bash at 127 W. Social House.

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook will come alive Oct. 25, with a Halloween Bash that blends spooky fun, live entertainment and community giving. Building on last year, the event, hosted by Valerie Thruelsen and Village News in partnership with the Fallbrook Historical Society, will raise funds for both the historical society and Mentoring for Purpose.

The historical society works to preserve Fallbrook’s past while Mentoring for Purpose invests in its future by guiding local youth. Together, the nonprofits represent the community’s rich heritage and hope for the next generation.

This year’s Halloween Bash will take over the entire 127 West Social House, including the restaurant and back patio with the scenic stream. Guests can expect delicious food, snacks, vintage-era candy and a variety of drinks – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Live music from one of Southern California’s top dance bands will set the tone for the evening, with hits from the 1970s through the 1990s sure to keep the dance floor packed. Between bites and songs, partygoers can enjoy costume contests, animatronic displays, and festive entertainment throughout the night.

Raffles, prizes and a silent auction will offer plenty of opportunities to win unique items while giving back. Organizers are encouraging attendees to “shop early for Christmas,” with auction and raffle prizes ranging from gift certificates and themed baskets to household items, art, jewelry and more – all perfect for holiday presents. Every dollar raised will support the two nonprofits.

Guests are invited to dress in their best costume, bring their dancing shoes and be part of a night that promises thrills, laughter and purpose.

Tickets will go on sale next week FOR $40 per person. Those interested in sponsoring the event, volunteering or donating auction items can email OurHalloweenBash2025@gmail.com.
