MURRIETA — Murrieta police closed part of Los Alamos Road on Thursday as officers investigated an incident near Madison Avenue.
The westbound lanes of Los Alamos Road were shut down between Madison and Jefferson avenues, police said in a social media post.
Authorities emphasized the situation was an isolated incident and there was no threat to the public. Drivers were urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes until further notice.
