Recruitment opens for Third Cohort of Supervisor Gutierrez’s Community Risk Reduction Program

HEMET – Following the success of the second cohort, Riverside County Supervisor Gutierrez opened applications for the third cohort of the Community Risk Reduction (CRR) Program. This program helps provide a career path and resources to youth who are interested in becoming firefighters while increasing the firefighter and public safety workforce.The County of Riverside's Department of Housing and Workforce Solutions (HWS) administers the program with the City of Hemet's Department of Life Safety/Fire Department acting as the service provider. The program is open to youth ages 16 to 24 who are residents of District 5. This includes the cities of Moreno Valley, Hemet, San Jacinto, Calimesa, Beaumont, Banning, as well as surrounding unincorporated communities such as Cherry Valley, Reche
