Jailhouse Rock screening, James Kruk concert to celebrate Elvis’ birthday at Mission Theater

Elvis Presley was born on January 8, 1935. The Mission Theater will be celebrating Elvis’ birthday with a screening of the Elvis Presley movie Jailhouse Rock on January 9 and a concert featuring Elvis impersonator James Kruk, a former Bonsall resident and current Murrieta resident, on January 10.“It was as close as we could get to Elvis’ actual birthday. We just wanted to tie it in with that,” said Mission Theater owner Roy Moosa.January 8 will be a Thursday. The Friday, January 9, screening of Jailhouse Rock, which was released in 1957, will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, for the James Kruk concert which begins at 7 p.m.“It should be a lot of fun,” Moosa said.“We’re lucky that we can do this in Fallbrook,” Kruk said.
