Pedestrian struck on I-215

A pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck Tuesday evening on southbound Interstate 215 near Clinton Keith Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported shortly after 7:13 p.m. CHP logs identified the incident as a traffic collision involving a pedestrian at the I-215 southbound off-ramp to Clinton Keith Road.
Initial information indicated a gray Ford F-150 was involved. CHP dispatch records noted that the vehicle’s side mirror struck the pedestrian after the pedestrian reportedly ran into the traffic lanes. The pedestrian was described as having been hit after entering the roadway.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, and at least one CHP unit was assigned. There was no immediate information available regarding the extent of the pedestrian’s injuries.
The incident remained under investigation Friday night. No additional details were released.
