The Eastern Municipal Water District authorized a preliminary design contract for the rehabilitation of the San Jacinto Regional Water Reclamation Facility.
Eastern’s board voted 5-0 on February 4 to award GHD, Inc., a $707,196 contract for the preliminary design work. The action appropriated a total of $860,916 which also covers $30,000 for internal labor costs and a $123,720 contingency.
Eastern operates four regional water reclamation facilities. The San Jacinto Regional Water Reclamation Facility in the 700 block of North Sanderson Avenue has a capacity of 14 million gallons per day.
