Supervisors approve vegetation management funding agreement with Anza Electric Cooperative

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved a funding agreement for the Anza Electric Cooperative to use $160,000 of the county’s Unincorporated Communities Initiative funding.The supervisors’ 5-0 vote on June 2 approved the funding agreement. The money will assist the Anza Electric Cooperative in fuel reduction activities such as tree trimming, tree removal, and vegetation removal along approximately a 10-mile portion of their electric power line system.A November 2020 Board of Supervisors action created the Unincorporated Communities Initiative to improve the infrastructure and services provided to residents of unincorporated communities with an emphasis on disadvantaged unincorporated communities.
