Fire started with stolen car in DeLuz

Firefighters are in the mop-up stage of a quarter-acre vegetation fire after forward progress was stopped.

According to initial reports, the fire was allegedly started by a stolen vehicle. The occupants reportedly fled on foot before firefighters arrived at the scene.

The fire was quickly contained to approximately one-quarter acre, and crews remained on scene extinguishing hot spots. No injuries or structure damage were immediately reported.

The incident remains under investigation, and authorities are searching for the suspects.
