The County of Riverside approved an agreement with the City of Hemet to have the city reimburse the county for slurry seal resurfacing of Whittier Avenue within the Hemet city limits.The Riverside County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 July 28 to approve the agreement. A county contract to cover the resurfacing of Whittier Avenue west of San Jacinto Street will also include the slurry seal treatment from San Jacinto Street to 800 feet east of San Jacinto Street.The portion of Whittier Avenue within the City of Hemet is 20 feet wide.
