Two Hemet fire stations will be receiving new backup generator systems.A 5-0 Hemet City Council vote on September 8 approved an agreement for the purchase and installation of backup generator systems at Station 3 and Station 5. The contract with Quinn Power Systems is for $245,174.55, and the city manager was authorized to approve change orders which do not cumulatively exceed the project’s $264,000 budget.Station 3 is in the 4100 block of West Devonshire Avenue. The existing backup generator currently provides limited emergency power only to the apparatus bay and radio room.
