The Eastern Municipal Water District approved the Programmatic Environmental Impact for the Quail Valley Sub-Area 4 Septic-to-Sewer Project.The EMWD board voted 5-0 on September 16 to adopt a resolution certifying the PEIR. Although the noise during construction activity was identified as a significant impact that could not be mitigated below a level of significance, the board also made a finding of overriding considerations.The system which will replace the private septic systems in Sub‑Area 4 includes a gravity sewer system, and sewer lift stations will be located at strategic locations to accommodate the rolling hills topography of the area.
