A pair of fundraising concerts November 7 at the Old Town Temecula Theater will raise money for the West Coast Country Music Association.
One concert will begin at 3:30 p.m. The other show will start at 7:30 p.m.
“It’s to help fund our association,” said WCCMA president Gwyn Sanborn, who helped found the organization in 2009.
The West Coast Country Music Association hosted the Hot August Music Competition in Temecula. This year’s winners will be performing at the concerts.
“These artists deserve a stage where people can discover them,” Sanborn said.
Local musicians Sophie Tabesh and Lance Mowdy will also be performing. Both are WCCMA alumni.
Sanborn also owns SoCal Music Unlimited, which has a studio in Murrieta, and that entity’s SoCal Music Unlimited Rising Stars Performance Team will also be part of the November 7 concerts. Sanborn’s own band, the Ranch Rockers, will be the backing musicians for the performers.
“It’s bringing the spirit of country music to Temecula while showing the Country Music Association’s works,” Sanborn said.
The proceeds will fund music program scholarships and recording opportunities.
