The Eastern Municipal Water District board approved a contract with Krieger & Stewart for a siting study and the preliminary design work for the Calle Medusa lift station and force main.The board vote was 4-0, Oct. 7, with Stephen Corona recusing himself due to a professional conflict of interest. Krieger & Stewart will be paid $98,000 for that work, and the board appropriated $376,200 which will also cover an environmental consultant, district labor costs and a potholing contractor.The Calle Medusa sewer provides service to approximately 700 residences in the Solana Vista, Tierra Brisa and Saddlewood homeowners association neighborhoods in Temecula. Eastern recently completed a sewer protection and erosion mitigation project which is considered to be an interim solution. E
