In last Monday’s non-league bout, the Elsinore Tigers basketball squad nipped the host Murrieta Valley Nighthawks by a margin of 85-79. The Nighthawks, led by Titus Davis with five three-pointers, and Michael Davis, who had 4 steals, now own a 9-5 record after dropping their next two games to Santa Margarita and St. John Bosco.

After the win, the Tigers (11-2) had to take on Orangewood Academy of Garden Grove, and fell 59-50. The Spartans went into the non-league outing with a 9-2 record. Prior to that game Orangewood Academy got by Segerstrom, 75-43, in non-league action.
