You're not getting rid of me that quickly,” Menifee police Chief Pat Walsh said jokingly to the Menifee City Council after the announcement that he will be retiring from service in July after a law enforcement career spanning over 38 years.His announcement was made to Menifee city manager Armando Villa who relayed it to the council that evening.Addressing the council, Walsh said, “I have been blessed to be here. It was a very difficult decision but the hardest part was telling the people I work with. The P.D. also the city manager who is phenomenal. The best boss I had in 38 years.”His official final day has not been determined.
