The California State Water Resources Control Board has approved emergency funding to assist with the lack of water experienced by some Western Water Conservation customers on Table Mountain.WWC, the nonprofit organization that controls the shared well water system, indicated two weeks ago that one of four wells had been taken out of the system, resulting in a shortage of water for approximately 30 customers.Jeff Wetzel, California State Water Resources Control Board Senior Water Resource Control Engineer with the Drinking Water Well Replacement Program, spoke briefly in a phone interview about the state’s role in assisting with a resolution to the water problems experienced by WWC.Considering the issue to be a funding emergency, he said, the state has granted about $72,000 in
