LAKE ELSINORE – The Lake Elsinore Historical Society will have a member’s meeting Tuesday, Oct. 4, to present Genealogy 101: Family Search Basics at the Lake Elsinore History Museum from 1-3 p.m. The organization will present Dominique McCafferty who will share how people can use resources to find ancestors. McCafferty is one of the historical society’s newest members. She is a children’s collection development librarian for Library Systems and Services and a part-time reference librarian at the Menifee Campus of Mt. San Jacinto College. She has been researching her family’s Irish roots since summer 2021 and has “busted a lot of brick walls” in the process.
