Dear editor,Tim Dull, Great Oak High School’s2022 Student of the Year, traveled to Washington DC to meet with Congressman Darrell Issa’s office to advocate for Alzheimer’s disease legislation. Having lost his grandmother to the disease, Tim has been working throughout high school to raise awareness and funding for Alzheimer’s. Being part of the Alzheimer’s Impact Movement (AIM) and this year’s DC Forum has made him more committed than ever to helping fight for the more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s.Much progress has been made in the fight against Alzheimer’s over the last decade thanks in large part to the National Alzheimer’s Project Act (NAPA) and the Alzheimer’s Accountability Act (AAA).
