BEAUMONT (CNS) - A motorist was killed earlier this week when his vehicle
overturned on Highway 79 just south of Beaumont.The fatality occurred about 2:25 a.m. on the southbound 79, near the
turnoff for the Lamb Canyon Landfill, according to the California Highway
Patrol.The sedan was being driven at an unknown speed when the driver, whose
identity was not immediately released, apparently lost control and the vehicle
flipped onto its roof, according to the CHP. The motorist was ejected onto the
roadway.No other vehicles were involved.Riverside County Fire Department paramedics reached the location a
short time later and pronounced the driver dead at the scene.CHP officers shut down the southbound side of the 79 for nearly two
hours while the wreckage was cleared
