Sally Myers honored with Brilliance in Action award

Riverside County Superintendent of Schools Edwin Gomez presented the Riverside County State of Education address at the Riverside Convention Center, March 6. This event showcased how students and educators in the county’s 23 school districts are inspiring brilliance, which served as this year’s theme.The highlight of the event honored community leader Sally Myers with the first-ever Brilliance in Action award. Myers founded her nonprofit Student of the Month program more than 30 years ago in Temecula. She then expanded the program to Murrieta, Lake Elsinore and Menifee/Perris.
